“DAV Movement” founded in 1886 by Lala Laijpat Rai picked up momentum due to the arduous efforts of Mahatma Hans Raj, Pandit Gurudutt Vidyarthi and may other dedicated Arya Samaj activist. The first DAV school was started at Lahore on 1st June 1886 with the self abnegation of Mahatma Hansraj as a memorial of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, a versatile genius, social reformer, educationist, a benefactor of humanity and harbinger of national movement. The school received tremendous success in imparting education to the Indian students. Since its inception over a century ago, the DAV Institutions have played a signification role in educational and cultural rejuvenation of India. The DAV Schools have endeavoured to provide education that is unique synergy of values from Vedas and modern education methodologies and technologies. Presently educational institutions with rare values at national and global level and getting conducted common annual examinations for c lass VIII & XI of all DAV schools by DAV Education Board.

Born on 15 November, 1923 at Isakal (Pakistan ) M.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from Punjab University , Lahore as student of DAV College, Lahore from 1936-45. Joined as a lecturer in Chemistry in DAV College (Lahore) in 1957. Served as Founder Principal of DAV College, Abohar, Distt. Firozpur, Punjab from 1960. Enrolled as a life member in as Principal of Dayannd Postgraduate College, Hissar (Haryana ) from 1977 to 1882. In 1982 was then transferred to Ranchi to set up and manage a chain of DAV public Schools in Coal fields. Under his able guidance DAV Public Schools flourished in Eastern India and at present more that 240 DAV educational institution s are running I collaboration with various public & private undertakings, along with some directly managed schools of DAV Trust.
As on day more than 1,00,000 students of Bihar are studying in 60 DAV Public schools of Patna Zone besides more than 120000 students in Ranchi Zone. Regional Directorate, Patna orients excellent results. Only a few schools of Patna Zone are independently, under direct control of DAV CMC New Delhi. These schools don’t get any grant from the Government. All the schools are affiliated to CBSE New Delhi. Every school has 2 acres of land. All Patna Zone schools run free primary classes for neighboring villages under ‘Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan.
A dynamic leader and tireless and inspiring worker, Narayan Das Grover, left for his heavenly abode on 6th February, 2008 at Chandigarh after a brief illness. There is no doubt that his deeds and words will be our guiding force. His childlike smile will always be reflected in students of DAV institutions of the Patna Zone.
Important Information
The students and their guardians are expected to behave properly. If they behave in an unruly way, they can be debarred from entering the school campus.
The students who damage the school property will have to pay for the loss. If a particular student is not found then all the students of the concerned class or group will have to pay for the loss.
Name of any student will be struck off in case of indiscipline act on the part of the student of the concerned parents/ guardian(s).
Fee once paid will not be refunded at any cost.
